Jerry C. Oldshue, Jr.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 13, 1962, Jerry C. Oldshue, Jr. received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Alabama in 1985. He worked as a manufacturing engineer for General Motors and a design engineer for BellSouth before continuing his educational pursuits at The University of Alabama in 1992. Mr. Oldshue was one of only two applicants selected to participate in the University’s joint degree program, where he earned his juris doctorate and master’s of business administration concurrently, finishing in 1995.
While earning his degrees, he was a member of Phi Delta Phi and co-authored “Applying Revenue Procedure 95-10 to the Classification of LLC’s,” which was published in the ALI-ABA Course Materials Journal, Vol. 20, No. 2, October 1995. Mr. Oldshue has continued his professional development and recently became one of only six attorneys in the state to achieve board certification as a specialist in creditors’ rights law.
Admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1995, Mr. Oldshue is licensed to practice before all Alabama courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. His current memberships include the Tuscaloosa County and American Bar Associations (member, Business Law Section), Alabama State Bar (member, Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section), American Bankruptcy Institute, Conference on Consumer Finance Law, and the Commercial Law League of America.
